Berlyn Owen

Berlyn Owen, 88, a resident of Florence, MS passed away Monday, September 23, 2019, at Briar Hill Rest Home in Florence, MS. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Jesus Name Tabernacle Cemetery in Florence, MS.

Mrs. Owen was born October 02, 1930 and was a native of Purvis, MS. She was the daughter of William Daniel Owen and Magdalene Lee. She served many years caring for the elderly before retiring. She loved her family and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Owen was preceded in death by her parents, William Daniel Owen (Lena Owen) and Magdalene Lee; two sons, Joe and Dale Bates; three sisters, Lily Mae Lee, Bertha Rae Holmes and Beatrice Reaves.

Mrs. Owen is survived by her children, Sharon Holland (Jimmy Don), Charlotte Pearson and Wendell Thornton (Amy); eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
