Berry Todd Hemphill, 80, passed away Sun. Sept. 29, 2013 at his home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held Tues. Oct. 1, 2013 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and Wed. Oct. 2, 2013 from 9am-9:45am at Bethel Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 10am Wed. Oct. 2, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hemphill was a native and lifelong resident of Brandon, MS where he was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Hemphill retired from the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office but was still an active volunteer deputy. He was also a mason with the Brandon Lodge and just received a 50 year membership award. Most of all, Mr. Hemphill was a very loving man who enjoyed spending his time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Hemphill; two sons, Berry Todd Hemphill II (Cristy) and Matt Hemphill (Lisa); one sister, Eva Pearl Shires (Hubert) and four grandchildren, Kayla, Mattie, Abbey and Trey Hemphill.
