Bessie S Bowman

Mrs. Bessie Bowman, age 81, passed away on September 19, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 29, 1941 to Oscar and Gladys Buchanan Smith in Pelahatchie, MS and lived most of her life there. Mrs. Bessie was a member of Leesburg Baptist Church, she loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them; her grandkids were her pride and joy, and spending time with them brought her great joy.

               Services for Mrs. Bessie will be Friday, September 22, 2023 at Barefoot Springs Baptist Church. Visitation will be 12:00pm to 1:50pm with the Funeral Service at 2:00pm, with Bro. Dennis Ellingburg officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

               Preceding Mrs. Bessie in death were her parents, Oscar and Gladys Smith, sister-in-law, Sandra Smith, first husband, Henry Bowman, second husband, Hank Taylor. She is survived sons, Brent Bowman and Mark Taylor, sister and brother-in-law, James and Diane Harrell, two brothers, Louis Smith, Weldon Smith, (Judy), four grandkids, Riley Bowman, Macy Bowman, Abbi, Ashley, and a host of nieces and nephews.
