Bessie Marie Measels, 88, a resident of Brandon died Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Brandon Court in Brandon. Visitation will be held 4-7 pm Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:30 am at the funeral home in Morton with burial in the Ludlow Cemetery. Rev. Steve Wilson will officiate the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
 
Mrs. Measels was a native of Scott Co. She was the daughter of Leo and Lorena Johnson. She was married to James Earl Measels. She worked many years in the poultry industry for B.C. Rogers. Mrs. Measels is a member of the Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon.  She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
 
Mrs. Measels was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Lorena Johnson.
 
Mrs. Measels is survived by her son, Barney and his wife Nancy of Coal Bluff; brother, Leo Johnson, Jr. of Kosciusko; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
 
Serving as pallbearers are Jimmy Presley, C. L. Presley Lonnie Johnson, Willie Webb, Gary Johnson, and Mike Waldon.
