SERVICES: 2 PM FRIDAY AT OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME IN MORTON
BURIAL: FOREST GROVE PRESBYTERIAN CEMETERY
VISITATION: 4-9 PM THURSDAY
Bessie O’Cain, 71, a resident of Carthage died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, September 13, 2013 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Forest Grove Presbyterian Cemetery in Carthage. Visitation will be 4-9 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Jack Stewart will officiate the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton will be charge of arrangements.
Mrs. O’Cain was a native of Rankin Co. she was the daughter of J.B. Stewart and Myrtle Shoemaker Stewart. She was married to Jimmy O’Cain. Mrs. O’Cain worked in the Levi’s Factory for 17 years. She attended the Forest Grove Presbyterian Church in Carthage. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. O;Cain was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy O’Cain, granddaughter, Terri Rebecca O’Cain, parents, J.B. Stewart and Myrtle Shoemaker Stewart, sisters, Dorothy Hedrick and Ruby Bryant, brothers, Herbert and Hubert Stewart.
Mrs. O’Cain is survived by her children, Robbie O’Cain of Carthage and Jerry (Brenda) O’Cain of Carthage; brother, Jessie (Gera Nell) Stewart of Berry, AL; grandchildren, Jerry (Crystal) O’Cain, Jr., Kayla (Shean) Pearson, Robbie Dale O’Cain, Jr. and Kristy Moss; 8 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Whithers, Alton Parker, Tom Luckett, Danny Foster, Hugh Lee Jenkins, Bubba Foster and serving as honorary pallbearer will be Tyler O’Cain.
