Bettie Arline Cross Bryson, 68, a resident of New Orleans, LA died Saturday, January 7, 2012. Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS located at 3555 Hwy 80 West, Morton, MS 39117 with burial in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery located at 251 Old Hwy 43, Brandon, MS 39047. Visitation will be 11 am until 1 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bryson was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed life to the fullest and would do anything for you. She loved everyone and accepted you as you were. Bettie passed away from a stroke/heart attack after severe struggle with a back injury. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Bryson was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Dewey Cross and Ellie Mae Fitzhugh Cross, her husband, Billy Ray Bryson and her son, Ricky Ruffin Parke.
Mrs. Bryson is survived by her son Norman Edward ”Eddie” (Sherile) Parke, Jr.; her daughter in law, Deanna Parke; brothers, Larry (Emma) Cross and Gary (Shelia) Cross; grandchildren, Alyssa (Chase) Penalber, Jessica Parke, Candace Parke, Justin Parke, William “Billy” (Kristie) Bohne, Benjamin (Andrea) Bohne and Brian (Amber) Bohne; great grandchildren, Alexis, Katelyn, Kyler, Jayden, Adam, Kody, Megan, Tessa, Carter, Lil Billy, Kamryn and Logan.
There will be a meal provided at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church for the family and friends after the committal service. All are welcome to attend.
