Bettie Hutchison

Bettie Alice Hutchison, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 8, 2017.

She was born in Sallis, MS on March 5, 1938, the first born daughter of Betty and Clayton McCrory and was a 1956 graduate of McAdams High School.

On February 28, 1958, she married her high school sweetheart, Jimmie Dale Hutchison and they raised their family of two daughters and a son in Jackson and Brandon.

Bettie loved sewing, shopping, attending church, and enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Crossview Baptist Church in Brandon.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Claytie Dew.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jimmie Hutchison, Sr.; daughters Kathy Weir (Bubba), Patty Clarke (Rick), one son, Jimmie “Jimbo” Hutchison, Jr. (Amy); six grandchildren, Tyler Weir (Kaylyn), Josh Clarke (MariGrace), Blake Weir (Courtney), Kailey Hutchison, Jake Clarke, and Caden Hutchison; and two great-grandsons, Houston Clarke and Cache Weir.

She is also survived by two sisters, Esther Hutchison (Jim), Marjorie Haskins, and one brother, Clayton “Bud” McCrory, Jr.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Thursday, August 10 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with funeral services on Friday, August 11 at 11 am with graveside services at Coleman Cemetery in McAdams at 3 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Crossview Baptist Church, 687 Burnham Road, Brandon, MS 39042.
