Betty Gray Crawford, age 84, a resident of Pelahatchie, MS, passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelahatchie, MS.  Rev. John Vaughn and Rev. Vic Bowman will  officiate the service.

Mrs. Crawford was born August 23, 1935, to William Guy Gray and Clara Bell Cooper Gray in Scott County, MS, and she was a lifelong member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.  She was a school teacher for Rankin County School District and retired after 38 years of service.  Mrs. Crawford loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, grandson-in-law and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Crawford Clark; granddaughter, Brittany Clark Smith (Chase); great grandchildren, Kiptyn and Knox Smith; and her brother, Billy Gray (Sandra).  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Britt Crawford; and her older brother, John T. “Rusty” Gray.

Pallbearers will be Hayes Patrick, Clay Haskins, Michael Means, Brayden Warner, Rick Lewis and Chase Smith.
