Betty Joyce Huff age 87, died Monday, March 28, 2022, at the Mississippi Care Center in Morton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12pm Thursday, March 31, 2022, from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest with visitation starting at 11am till the service time. Interment will follow in the Pineville-Leaf River Cemetery.
Betty was born on August 6, 1934, in Smith County to her parents William F. Russell and Lola Harris Russell. She had retired from the Raleigh Corporation as a seamstress. She was a member of Hillcrest Church in Forest. Betty was a very devoted mother to her only child and loved her son-in-law as her own. Her two grandchildren brought her much happiness and joy. Her great-nieces and nephews were like her additional children whom she also loved as her own. She took great pride in cooking for others, providing meals for her family and friends. Her favorite pastimes were word search, watching Gaither videos, spending time with her roommate at the Care Center, Mrs. Janice, and her daily visits from her beloved daughter, Freda. The family would like to send a special “Thank-you” to all the staff at the MS Care Center of Morton and Melodie with Home Care Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her daughter Freda (Paul) Windham, two grandchildren; Justin (Kaylon) Windham and Jessica (Nathan) Brown, 4 great-grandchildren; Dylan Brown, Railey Windham, Parker Brown, and Jake Windham.
Pallbearers are Justin Windham, Nathan Brown, Trey Crumpton, Ken Crumpton, Luke Talley, and KyleTalley.
