Betty Rene "Meemaw" May

Betty Rene “Meemaw” May, 86, passed away on Sat. Sept. 16, 2023, at Merit Health Rankin Hospital in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Mon. Sept. 18, 2023 from 5pm-7pm and on Tues. Sept. 19, 2023 from 12pm-1pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 1pm on Tues. Sept. 19, 2023 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Lakewood Memorial Park South Cemetery.

Mrs. May was born on Oct. 13, 1936, in Noxapater, MS to the late Forrest & Lucille Oglesby Suttle. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. Mrs. May enjoyed playing newspaper puzzles, reading, and catching and cooking fish. She loved her family very much, especially her great grandchildren.

Mrs. May is survived by her two sons, Tim May and Don May; two grandchildren, Robin May and Kirby Henderson (David) and five great-grandchildren, James Mayson Wall, Brileigh Henderson, Anna Henderson, Carleigh Henderson and Cash Henderson. Mrs. May is also preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Earl May; son, Ricky Earl May; daughter in law, Cindy May and five brothers, Bill, Mack, Cook, Jimmy, and Butch Suttle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
