Owen Brandon Betty Bass Owen, 84, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Mississippi Care Center of Morton. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00am Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm – 8:00pm Monday, March 25, 2013 and one hour prior to service on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Bassfield Cemetery in Bassfield, MS. Rev. James Clardy will be officiating. Pallbearers will be: Matthew Owen, Earl Brown, Brian Frazier, Phillip Jones, Claude Nash, and Doug Whittington. Honorary pallbearer will be Will Priest. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Burkett Bass, Thomas Bass, and James Bass; and her sister, Wynelle Rauschkolb. She is survived by her children, Kevin Owen (Pam) of Watson, LA, Melanie Priest (Ken) of Brandon, MS, and Amy Laney of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Amanda Thornton, Stephanie Owen, Matthew Owen, and Will Priest; and sister-in-law, Pauline Bass.The family would like to thank the staff at Mississippi Care Center of Morton and Hospice Advantage for their love and care shown during this time.
