Betty May Park went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 31, 2025, in Meridian, MS. She was 85 years old. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Newton, MS under the direction of OTT & LEE Funeral Home of Forest.

Betty was born in Scott County, MS to Ollie W. May SR. and Irene Robinson May. She lived in Lawrence, MS and attended FBC of Newton, MS with her husband of 56 years, David E. Park. She was a graduate of Richton High School. Her life was full of happy family memories. She was an accomplished seamstress, kindergarten teacher, Sunday school teacher, and cook. She had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help someone in need.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, David E. Park: she is survived by her brother, O.W. May, of Eagleville, TN, son Ron Park and daughter Karen Park Smiley, both of Lawrence, MS, and grandchildren, Esmee Smiley, Raul Smiley, Erika Smiley Green (Preston), Kyle Smile and one great- grandchild, Asher Green.
