Bettye Daigre

Mrs. Bettye Tadlock Daigre, age 94, of Homewood, Mississippi passed from this life on October 26, 2021, with her beloved children at her side.  She was born on April 6, 1927, to Lawrence and Inez Tadlock. She was married to Harold L. Daigre, Sr. on April 8, 1951, and enjoyed 61 years together.

Mrs. Daigre attended Homewood School and played on the basketball team which won the State Championship in 1945.

After having children, she drove the school bus for Forest Separate School District and eventually became a teacher’s aide at the school.

Funeral services will be at Homewood Methodist Church, Homewood, Mississippi on Saturday, October 30, 2021, as follows:

Visitation 1:00-3:00 pm

Services will be officiated by Pastor Hal Daigre and Pastor Marshall Daigre at Homewood Church at 3:00 pm followed by burial at Homewood Church cemetery located behind the church.

Pallbearers include Marshall Daigre, Justin Daigre, Jackson Daigre, Harrison Daigre, Kyle Hawkins, and Richard McCraney. Honorary Pallbearers are Shawn Hawkins and Bubba Daigre.

She is survived by her son Hal Daigre (Cindy), daughter Tenia Hawkins (Shawn), four grandchildren and one deceased grandchild; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
