Betty Lou Hill, 89, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Miss. Care Center in Morton. Visitation is 9 am Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with services to follow at 11 am Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hill was a native of Pennsylvania and a longtime resident of Charleston, South Carolina, Vicksburg and Shubuta before moving to Pelahatchie two years ago. She loved the Lord and attended Park Place Baptist Church and Pelahatchie Baptist Church. Mrs. Hill was dedicated to her family by being a loving wife, mother and grandmother her entire life. She was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying watching her children and grandchildren play and watching the Atlanta Braves. She enjoyed the Braves so much, she named her dog “Chipper.”
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Hill; granddaughter, Lilly Hill; great granddaughter,Layne Kayte Whitehead; brothers, Fred and Ray Tippin. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Lott (David) of Wiggins; sons, Allen Hill (Dorothy) of Vicksburg, Harry Hill (Sherri) of Madison, Tony Hill (Lynn) of Pelahatchie and Dale Hill of Waynesboro; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
