Betty Mae Moss

Betty Mae Newcomb Moss, age 73, passed away Saturday morning, August 8, 2015 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be held on Mon. Aug. 10, 2015 from 5pm-8pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services will be at 10am on Tues. Aug. 11, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Betty was born July 1, 1942 to the late Mason and Lillie Mae Newcomb of Brookhaven, Mississippi. Betty graduated from Loyd Star High School and completed Jackson Commercial College. She retired from Southern Farm Bureau as a life insurance underwriter and was employed at St. Dominic's Hospital for over ten years. Betty was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church of Brandon. Family of Betty's were here delight and passion. She loved to travel with her sisters and her constant companion and best friend, Bill, her husband of thirty-four years.

Betty is survived by husband, William B. Moss, Sr., son, Kevin (Lynne), step son, William B. Moss, Jr (Carla) and proceeded in death by step daughter, Terri Lee Brown. Sisters: Annie Pearl Wingo (Davis), Margie Lee Smith (Mike), Willie Katherine Coleman (Starky), Etta Jo Newell. Grandchildren include Amanda Sijansky, Christina Brown Reeder, Chad Moss, Meaghan Brown Ahlberg, and Mason Myers. Great grandchildren: Leighton, Ella Kate, Caroline, Hunter, Waylon, and Camden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossgates Baptist Church Ministries at 8 Crosswoods Rd. Brandon, MS 39042.
