Billie Ann Brooks Chambers, 87, passed away Sun. July 10, 2016 at Merritt Health Hospital in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Mon. July 11, 2016 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and on Tues. July 12, 2016 from 10am-10:45am at the Crossgates United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am Tues. July 12, 2016 at Crossgates United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Chambers was born in Magee, MS and has been a longtime resident of Brandon, MS. where she was a very active member of Crossgates United Methodist Church. She was a secretary with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and retired in 1980 after 35 years of service. Mrs. Chambers was also a member of the United Methodist Women and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She is survived by her son, Robert E. Welch of Slidell, LA; two grandchildren, Dwayne and Jennifer Welch both of Slidell, LA and four great grandchildren, Tyler, Blaine, Ryan and Emma Welch all of Slidell, LA. Mrs. Chambers is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Austin Chambers; parents, H.L. and Annie Marie Brooks and a sister, Sherry Rushing.
