BILLIE M. GREEN
Jackson
Billie Maxine Ainsworth Green wife of Charles Green passed away June 5, 2010 after a brief illness. Billie was born May 16, 1932 and raised in Mize, Smith County, Mississippi. Following her marriage to Charles 61 years ago they moved to the Jackson area where they spent their entire married life raising two daughters, Linda Jo Moss, Brandon and Charlotte Watts Springdale, Arkansas. Her daughters gave Billie three beautiful grand daughters and one grandson. These four grandchildren have now given Billie and Charles five great grandchildren. This family has been Billie’s greatest joy. She was fortunate enough to be active in their lives and this participation provides memories that will live on.
Billie spent her entire working career in the food industry first with Swift & Company. She then founded and operated a mobile industrial catering service, Supreme Catering. After selling the catering service she was employed by McCarty Farms where she retired in the mid-nineties. Since her retirement Billie has continued to prepare and serve food to her family and friends.
Billie, daughter of the late Oree and Luella Ainsworth was the youngest of six sisters and two brothers. All of her siblings preceded her in death but they gave her numerous nieces and nephews who love Billie like a second mother.
Billie was a unique person who loved her family deeply, worked hard, laughed, cried, talked and made everyone feel as if they were the most special, most loved person in the world. God did a good job when he created Billie Maxine Green.
Visitation will be 5-8pm Monday, June 7 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services will be 11 am Tuesday at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Mize, MS with visitation starting 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
