Billie Joe Greer

Billie Joe Greer, age 83, a resident of Florence, formerly of Forest, died Sunday, September 15, 2019, in the Mississippi  Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30pm Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from the Unity Assembly of God in Forest with Visitation starting at 11am till service time.  The final resting place is in the Unity Assembly of God Church Cemetery.

Mr. Greer was born on Sunday, September 6, 1936,  in  Scott County to his parents Nadie Grover Greer and Mattie Sephton Greer,  He was a longtime resident of Scott County until about four years ago when he relocated to Rankin County.  He retired from Superior Manufacturing Company as a Supervisor.  He was a member of the Trinity Gospel Fellowship in Richland.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Jeffery Giramonti, a great-grandson; Jalen Craine, grand-daughter; Brandy George and ex-wife; Betty Maxine Greer.

Survivors include 3 children; Linda Berryhill of Florence, Betty Greer (Charlie)  and Tina Welborn all of Brandon.  He also leaves behind 3 sisters; Helen Conn, Hazel Squires (Dennis) Nelda Risher (Gary) and brother; Mack Greer (Doris) all of Forest; and a legacy of 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
