Billy Hunter, 84, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be 4-7pm Saturday, May 20, 2017 and starting at 1pm on Sunday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Services are 2pm Sunday, May 21, 2017 in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Mr. Hunter was a member of First Baptist Church of Brandon and he attended The Pointe in Brandon. He retired from Marquette Cement Company and Beth Hunter Tax Service. He was an avid fisherman and he also loved to hunt. Billy had a green thumb and could seem to root the impossible.
Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Becky and Chris Hope of Brandon; son and daughter in law, Tommy and Tara Hunter of Brandon, MS; sister, Barbara Sue McDill of Brandon, MS; brother, Johnny Hunter of Brandon, FL; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Hunter; daughter, Judy Carol Hunter; son, Marlon Hunter and a brother, Bobby Hunter.
