Billy C. Jolly

Billy C. Jolly passed away peacefully on November 25, 2015, at his home near Ada, Oklahoma.
Bill was born in Lake, Mississippi in 1939, and was the son of Alton Jolly and Sarah Frances Jolly. After graduating from Lake High School in 1957, he attended Hinds Community College, and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. While stationed in Idaho, he met his wife-to-be, Sharyn McMillan of Eugene, Oregon, on a blind date.
Bill had a distinguished 41-year career between the Air Force and the Mississippi Air National Guard, where he rose to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He earned numerous distinctions, and had the respect of all who worked with him. He retired from the military in 1999. In 2010, he and Sharyn moved to Oklahoma to live near their two sons.
He enjoyed his family and friends, yard work, sports, and was a faithful member of Grace Primitive Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. He will be remembered most for his faith in God and as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and as an American patriot.
Along with his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his younger brother, Richard Lee Jolly. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sharyn Jolly; son, Lance Jolly and his wife Barbara; son, Darin Jolly and his wife Christie; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers Jimmy Jolly and Tommy Jolly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS on December 4th, from 5-8 pm. His funeral service is scheduled for December 5th at 1:00 pm in the chapel. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bill’s life. Uniforms are encouraged for current and former military members.
