Billy Joe Keeton, age 65, passed away on Thursday, August 29th 2024 at his home in Louin. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8pm at Mt. Caramel Baptist Church. A second visitation will be held Monday from 11-2pm, with funeral services commencing at 2. Bro. Robert Hallman and Bro. Rudy Jackson will officiate, with special mention of Bro. Tam Maddox. Burial will take place in the Mt. Caramel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Billy was a man whose life was a testament to unwavering love, dedication, and joy. A pillar of strength and compassion, Billy devoted himself to his family and friends, always putting their needs before his own. As a devoted provider and tireless worker, he exemplified the virtues of hard work and selflessness, offering his boundless support to anyone in need. His infectious humor lit up every room, and he was the cherished source of laughter and light in the lives of those who knew him. A steadfast problem solver, Billy found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures- like sharing breakfast with friends at the Pineville store each morning. Above all, he held a deep and abiding faith in God, which guided his kind-hearted actions and unwavering moral compass. His legacy of love, generosity, and joy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, “Bo” Wesley Keeton, Ruby Lee Manus Keeton, and his step-mother, Thelma Keeton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mrs. Kathy Keeton; two sons, Shawn Keeton (Chrissy), and Eric Herron; brothers, Bo Jr. Keeton (Charlotte,) and Johnny Wesley Keeton (Theresa); sisters, Judy Kay Dennis, Wanda Kay Wells (Phillip,) and Catherine Ida Stewart; Elijah Desper; grandchildren, Shelby Keeton Nicholson (Craig), Hannah Keeton, Taylor Keeton, Billy Lane Keeton, Jayden Herron, and Kayden Herron; great grandchildren, Greyson McNeil and River Nicholson; and a host of family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be : Terry Walker, Jay Roberts, Chris Keeton, Greg Keeton, Cole Harris, Craig Nicholson, Terry Hammons, Jonah Jackson
Honorary pallbearers will be: Shelby Keeton Nicholson (Craig), Hannah Keeton, Taylor Keeton, Billy Lane Keeton, Jayden Herron, and Kayden Herron, Greyson McNeil, and River Nicholson
