Billy Lane

Mr. Billy Joe Lane, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Merit Rankin Health. He was born on March 27, 1952 in Prentiss, MS to the late Joe Rankin Lane and Mattie Merle Sasser Lane. Billy was a Commercial Air and Heating Supervisor for Jackson State and Alcorn State. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents. Billy is survived by his loving wife, Jeanie Lane; children, Shannon Cole (Cory) and Brad Lane (Holli); grandchildren, Kristen Benton, Scott Johnson, Payton Purvis, Addison Lane, Neely Lane, and Gunner Cole; great-granddaughter, Rivers Benton; siblings, Judy Lane Martin and David Lane; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, November 22, 2019 at 1:00pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Visitation will start at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park South.
