Billy McDill

Billy Wayne McDill, age 70, a lifelong resident of Forest, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness.

 Funeral services will be conducted at 12pm Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest with Rev. Reid Stevens officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Homewood Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10am till the service time at the funeral home.

 Billy was born on November 2, 1953, in Forest. He was employed as a truck driver for Kooch Foods. He was a member of Forest Baptist Church. Billy loved his family, and visiting with grandchildren, and he also loved the outdoors. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

 He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne McDill.

 Survivors include his loving wife of almost 51years, Shelia McDill, his mother, Christine Hardy McDill, two children; Timothy McDill (Amanda), and Joey McDill all of Forest; a brother, David McDill, and sister Diane Cox (Wayne) of Forest; brother-in-law Sammy Burgess of Homewood; two grandsons, Peyton McDill and Brennan McDill. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. 

 Pallbearers are Peyton McDill, Brennan McDill, Eric Burgess, Kyle Hutchinson, Michael Cox, Matthew Cox, and Josh Lindsey.
