Billy Rosamond O’Briant, 73, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011, at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon. Visitation is Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home from 2 pm until 5 pm with funeral services following at 5pm in the chapel of the funeral home.

Mr. O’Briant was born in West, MS to Dana Claborne and Nellie Welch O’Briant on January 20, 1938. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in West and a Veteran of the US Air Force. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Douglas and Dorothy Ponder.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Deville O’Briant; son, Richard Barrett O’Briant of Brandon; 2 daughters, Sheri Lynn Perrette and husband Geno of Madison and Kristen Kaye Edgar of Madison; 6 grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Sanders, David Matthew Sanders, Justin Edward Perrette, Bryan Reed Perrette, William Andrew Edgar and Cameron Dene Edgar; 3 brothers, Edwin, Durwood and Bobby Joe O’Briant; and his beloved precious puppies, Molly and Britney.
