Billy Wayne Shoemaker

Billy Wayne Shoemaker passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Brandon, MS. Billy was born August 19, 1960 to Wayne and Bobbie Shoemaker and lived in the Forest area most of his life.

Mr. Shoemaker was a carpenter by trade, often working with his father at their business. He loved to build things and was a very talented craftsman. He enjoyed working out when he could, and spending time with his family. Billy would light up any room with his quick wit and joking nature. He stayed optimistic and positive through his health issues, and never missed an opportunity to spend time with his nieces and nephews.

Billy was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Shoemaker; brother, Tommy Shoemaker; Nephew, TJ Shoemaker; and two sisters-in-law, Barbra and Darla Shoemaker. He leaves behind his mother, Bobbie Greggory Shoemaker; a brother, Larry Shoemaker; 3 nephews, Dwayne (Heather), Tyler, and Josh (Brittany) Shoemaker; a niece, Anastasia Shoemaker; several aunts: April (Henry) Walters, Cora (Danny) Mitchell, Melissa (Billy) Graves, Linda (Richard) Ingle, Dottie (Charles) Binkley, Dianne Fisher, Emmadee Harvey; and uncles Kenneth and Claude Greggory; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation to honor the life of Billy Shoemaker will be held on Saturday, September 9 from 9-11am at Clifton Baptist Church, followed by a graveside service beginning at 11. Billy will be sorely missed by all that loved him.
