Bobbie N. Bishop, 87, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, December 19, 2013 from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be from 11 am until the 2 pm Service at the Funeral Home.
Ms. Bishop lovingly devoted her life to her family and her church. She had a servants heart and a great sensitivity for those who were less fortunate. She loved gardening with her son, cooking for others and was happiest when connecting with friends and family.
Ms Bishop was born in Smith County, Mississippi on December 13, 1926 to the late Curtis Mack Lofton and the late Minnie Boykin Lofton. She was a graduate of Raleigh High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Howard Bishop; her sister Helen Lofton Butler and her brother, Martin Lofton.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Bishop Fleming (John) of Minden, LA and her son, Robert (Robin) Howard Bishop, Jr. (Renee) of Terry, MS; five grandchildren, Brittney Breck Gamel of Waco, TX, Brooklyn Fleming Bolin of Dallas, TX, JC Fleming of Jackson, MS, Barrett Fleming of Nashville , TN and Reese Bishop of Terry, MS, along with great grandchildren, Oliver, Bennett and Avonlea Gamel. Also survived by a very loving and close extended family of five siblings, Dixie Lofton Simpson, Paul Lofton, Mack Lofton, John Hudson Lofton, Harry Lofton and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
