No public visitation will be held.

Interment will follow the service in the Harperville Memorial Park.

Mrs. Bobbie Maxine Dodson was born in Scott County Mississippi October 10, 1935 to the parents of Charles Evans and Undean Tadlock.

After a lifetime of loving God, family, and friends, she passed away peacefully with her loving daughter, Vickie by her side, Saturday, March 20, 2021, following a brief illness.

Maxine served as a nurse in the Carthage, Mississippi hospital for 12 years and in the James Mayfield Clinic, Carthage, Mississippi for thirty-nine and a half years where she retired.

She was a gracious Christian lady who was passionate about her faith, family, friends, and helping others. She was a member of Harperville Baptist Church for the past fifty-six years and during that time taught Sunday school, served on committees, and enjoyed singing with her husband Bill in the choir for many years.

Mrs. Bobbie Maxine Dodson was the epitome of a true southern lady, kind, graceful, and true southern elegance. She greatly blessed and enriched the lives of those she touched and was loved and cherished by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Melton Dodson, her parents, Charles Evans Tadlock and Undean Tadlock;  her siblings, Evelyn Mancuso, Doris Calhoun, Meggy Leach, Matty Bailey, Charles Tadlock, Chuck Tadlock, and Buck Tadlock

Survivors include one daughter, Vickie Olier (Ralph) of Petal; Sister, Sue Derrick (C. L.) of Pulaski, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Harperville Baptist Church, on  Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at 10:30 a. m. followed with burial at the Harperville Memorial Cemetery.  Rev, Don Wilson, and Rev. Jason Tillman will officiate.  Mrs. Irene Martin will provide the prelude and postlude.

Pallbearers are Johnny Calhoun, Freddie Bagley, David Tadlock, Tim Leach, Jimmy Bailey, and Dewayne Derrick.  Honorary pallbearers are; Larry Brantley, Jason Tillman, David Benton, and Randy Cahoon.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to  Harperville Memorial Cemetery  C/O Letha Brantley   11470 Hwy 35 N.   Forest, Ms 39074,   or   Saint Jude Children’s Hospital
