Bobbie Jean Messier went home to be with Jesus on February 3, 2025. Bobbie was born on April 24, 1941 to John Earmon Russell and Annie Lucille Parker Russell in Kemper County near DeKalb Mississippi.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her four siblings; Kenneth Russell, John Russell, Wayne Russell and Effie Russell Trujillo. She is also preceded by her son, John Patrick Messier.
Bobbie is survived by her son Thomas Messier (wife Becky) and her daughter Angel Messier Walters (husband Ken). Bobbie was blessed to have 5 grandchildren; Bradley, Olivia, Felicia, Brandon and Brayden, and 2 great grandchildren Jayden and Chloe. She is also survived by three nephews and six nieces.
After marrying, Bobbie was fortunate to live and work in Data Entry and Accounting positions in Washington, Colorado, and Arizona. Upon returning to Mississippi, she retired in the mid 90’s from SkyTel Communications.
Bobbie was a long standing member of Park Place Baptist Church and leaves behind her Church family who brought her much joy. She was always eager to share stories about her Sunday School class and their lessons and “adventures”.
A loving Mother and compassionate soul, Bobbie will be deeply missed by her earthly family and friends but they take solace in knowing that she is at peace, spending Eternity with her Savior Jesus Christ, along with her son John and other family members in Heaven.

Her family will celebrate her life with a graveside service on Thursday, February 6th at Lakeland Place Memorial Park, 6004 Hwy 25, Brandon, MS. Services will be handled by Ott and Lee of Brandon, MS.
