Bobby C. Cook, age 75 a resident of Morton Died Thursday October 24, 2013 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson following a brief illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 2pm Saturday October 26, 2013 from the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Morton with interment in Hodge Hill Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5pm to 8pm Friday October 25, 2013 and 9 till service time. Rev. John Coleman officiated.
A native of Simpson County, Mr. Cook had lived in Morton since 1958. He had worked in the manufacturing business for many years at Universal Manufacturing, Hood Furniture, Talon, Inc. Klinger Electric until his retirement in 2003 from Choctaw Manufacturing, Inc. He loved to hunt, fish, as he enjoyed the outdoors especially working in his garden and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Kennedy and Agnes Herrington Kennedy and , a son, Howard Lewis Cook.
Mr. Cook is survived by his wife Geraldine McLemore Cook of Morton, a son Rodney Cook also of Morton and a daughter, Angela C. Busby ( Jason) of Mendenhall. He is also survived by 4 sisters; Patsy Garner of Morton, Dean McGovern of Magee, Gloria Berry of Mendenhall, and Vickie Maddox (Larry) of Magee. He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren; Brittany Cook, Paige Dyess and Jessie Cook; 2 great grandchildren, Courtney Mitchell and Levi Craft.
Pallbearers were Dale DeLaughter, Tommy Craft, William Garner, Kyle Garner, Junior McBride and Bud McBride.
