Bobby Kennedy

Mr. Bobby C. Kennedy, age 70 years young, a resident of Brandon, MS. He grew up in Scott County. He passed away on March 6, 2023 in Jackson, MS. Born on September 25, 1952 to William C. and Travis Elizabeth Gould Kennedy. Bobby loved life itself and all it had to offer. Throughout his life he enjoyed fast cars, hunting, fishing, reading books, watching westerns and documentaries, but most of all, family gatherings. Bobby’s grandkids were his pride and joy, they could never do anything wrong in his eyes. He was always a joy to be around. His smile, laughter and stories were entertaining and by that he brought much happiness to others. Bobby was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need from advice, guidance to material things that he had to loan. He was always available to help and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Travis Elizabeth Kennedy; three sisters, Elaine Roberts, Jean Fields, Charlene Champion and his wife, Molly Adcox Kennedy. Survived by three children, Toni Boykin, Brian Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy II; six grandkids Cory Thompson, Dakota Kennedy, Jacob Boykin, (Ashley Alamond), Parker Kennedy, Madisyn “Maddie” Kennedy, Brayden Kennedy; six great grandkids, Colt, Cayden and Cole Thompson, Jalynn, Berkleigh, and Kaiser Boykin.

Services for Bobby will be on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery in Polkville. Visitation will start at 1:30pm with the graveside service to follow at 2:00pm.
