SERVICES: 2 PM THURSDAY AT OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME IN BRANDON
VISITATION: 1 PM THURSDAY
Bobby Ray Thornton, 63, passed away Wed. Jan. 26, 2011 at the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be held today from 1-1:45pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with a memorial service to follow at 2pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.
Mr. Thornton has been a resident of Flowood for 63 years and was a member of American Legion Post 112. Mr. Thornton was the first paid full time fireman with the Flowood Fire Department, where he retired after 23 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wanda Thornton of Flowood; one daughter, Tammi Arencio of Fort Campbell, KY; one sister, Mary Garner (Jimmy) of Raleigh; two brothers, Bill Thornton (Tammy) of Brandon and Danny Thornton of Flowood; two grandchildren, nine nieces and two nephews.
