Mr. Bobby Trest, age 60, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation was held 5-8pm Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Graveside service was held 11am Monday, March 19, 2012 at Ludlow Cemetery with Rev. M.L. Wallace officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Trest was born in Scott County in 1951. He loved to be in the serenity of nature deer hunting and fishing. Bobby loved to teach his grandson to hunt and spend time with him. He also loved to play golf. Bobby worked for Scott Penn as a logging and heavy equipment mechanic for 30 years. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bishop Trest and Lodean William Trest Vernon; grandparents, Jessie and Bertha Trest; uncles, Ellis and Odie Trest and aunt, Levy Griffin.

He is survived by his spouse of 42 years, Brenda Joyce Trest of Ludlow; son, James Kevin Trest (Heather) of Ludlow, brother, James Sammy Trest (Doreen) of Ludlow, grandson, Brandon Tyler Trest; 2 sisters-in-law, Sharon Latham (Kenny) of Ludlow and Helen Westerfield (Houston) of Morton; 4 brothers-in-law, Bobby Torrence (Carrie) of Ludlow, Rodney Torrence (Betty) of Ludlow, Lynn Torrence (Pam) of Forest and Mark Torrence (Rhonda) of Morton; best friend, James Crockrell (Elaine) and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Steve Trest, Virgil Williams, Ramey Harrell, Bobby Torrence, Lynn Torrence and Mark Torrence. Honorary pallbearers were James Cockrell and Rodney Torrence.
