Bonita “Bonnie” Sue Matthews, 67, a resident of Brandon, MS died Sunday, December 6, 2015 in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with interment in the Lakeland Place Memorial Park Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 pm Friday, December 11, 2015 at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Bonnie was a native of Kokomo, IN. She was married to Lieutenant Charles Henry Matthews. She worked as an administrative assistant for the Lakeside Public Schools for many years. She was a member of Saint Marks United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Chancey and Goldie Hollander, Bill Walls and Roberta Karnes; son, Robert Toon; brothers, Walley Hollander and Artie Hollander; father and mother in law, Robert and Molly Matthews.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Lieutenant Charles Henry Matthews; children, Charles Henry (Amy Jones) Matthews, Gary Lee (Shannon Marie Barbour) Matthews, Jennifer Matthews (Silas Kaine) Ezell and Annie Michelle (Todd) Thompson; sister, Lois Hollander; brother, Gene Hollander; 7 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
