Bonnie Hemby

Bonnie Rose Williamson Hemby, age 82, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, MS. Visitation will be held from 9-11 am Friday, September 17, 2021, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with the funeral service to follow at 11 am Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Corinth Cemetery at 1 pm Friday.

Mrs. Hemby was born on November 8, 1938, a native of Simpson County, MS. She was the daughter of Marshall Williamson and Lena Smith Williamson-Skinner. She worked for the Veterans Home Purchase Board. She was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. Mrs. Hemby enjoyed working in her yard, shopping, especially spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Hemby was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Williamson and Lena Smith Williamson-Skinner and her siblings, Max, Don, Daniel, Roger and Marleen Skinner.

Mrs. Hemby is survived by her husband, Luther Hemby; children, Mike (Jody) Hemby and Tammy (Jon) Tucker; sister, Jean Skinner; brothers, Jimmy, Bobby and Pete Skinner; grandchildren, Jessica (Kyle) Mangano, Kayla Hemby, Austin Tucker, Jake Tucker and Josh (Jennifer) Belt; great grandchildren, McKenzie Belt and Brinkley Belt; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
