Mrs. Bonnie Kennedy, age 77, a resident of Morton passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Rush Hospital in Meridian. Her visitation was 5pm-until, Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Eastside Baptist Church in Pelahatchie. Funeral service was held 2pm Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Phillip Evans officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mrs. Bonnie was born on December 22, 1935 in Scott County. She loved visiting her neighbors and working in her yard. Bonnie loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Renfroe and Martha Trest Renfroe; daughter, Joanna Hill; sister, Martha Ann Percell, brothers, Jonathan, J.B. and Buddy Renfroe; first husband, Lester Lois Hill; second husband, James Higgins and third husband, Sammy Kennedy.
She is survived by daughter, Betty Cleveland of Morton; sister, Lorene Turnage of Pelahatchie; grandchildren, Bridgette Gann and Chance Cleveland; great grand-children, Jaslyn, Calvin and Aljelia Lindsey; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
