Bonnie Jean King, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2014 at her home in Brandon with her son holding her hand. Visitation will be 5pm until 8pm Monday, May 26, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and starting at 9am Tuesday, May 27, 2014, until the 10am Service in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.
Mrs. King was born in Jeff Davis County on March 19, 1927 to the late Luther Jefferson Davis and Ora Herrin Davis. She was a longtime member of Crossgates Baptist Church and was a nurse for Dr. Glenn Morris for many years. Bonnie loved to fish with her family and friends and was very competitive.
Survivors include her 3 children, Don (Linda) King of Pelahatchie, Steve (Elaine) King of Pelahatchie and Kristie (Terry) Lambert of Houston, TX; 6 grandchildren, Kaylind and Stephen Ainsworth, Malisa (Drew) Walters, Leslie (Ryan) Smith, Katelyn and Hallie Lambert; 2 great grandchildren, Taylor Walters and Abigail Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat King; sister, Mona Mae Hudson; brothers, Virgil, J.M., and Conley Davis.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Crossgates Baptist Church-Missions.
