Brenda Blanchford

Brenda Kay Blanchford, 68, of Jackson, MS, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2019.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, 1360 W. Government St. in Brandon, MS, at 11:00am. Visitation will be held from 10-10:45 am at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date at Glenwood Memorial Park, 840 Old Highway 49 South in Richland, MS.

Brenda was born in Biloxi, MS on September 6, 1950 to Justina Ellzey McFarland and John Henry McFarland. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Jean Iwaniszek.

She was a loving daughter, sister and mother. Brenda was a very sweet and loving person. Her kindness was often displayed in her willingness to help others. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. Brenda believed in Jesus Christ and loved worshipping and attending church. Brenda had a great sense of humor and could be very entertaining.

Brenda enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, jigsaw puzzles, bingo and baking cakes.

Survivors include son, David Alan Blanchford; sisters, Joyce McFarland, Gwen Childers (Larry), Shirley Miller (Gary), Vanna Carroll (Tony), Leslie Stieffel (Louis) and Tina Taylor (Russell); brothers, Kenny McFarland, Wayne McFarland and Ernie McFarland (Pamela); brother-in-law, Stephen Iwaniszek; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
