Brenda Sims

Brenda P. Sims, age 68, a resident of Flowood, MS passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Friday, January 29, 2021 at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.

Mrs. Sims was born February 18, 1952 to Roy and Dot Pierce. She was married to James Sims. Mrs. Sims was a graduate of Wingfield High School and received her MBA from Mississippi College. She served as an accountant with Ergon and several local companies and was self-employed prior to retirement. Mrs. Sims enjoyed sewing, quilting, puzzles, art, cooking, short stay trips and genealogy. She was a former member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Dot Pierce; brother, Billy Pierce; father-in-law, Morris Sims and brother-in-law, Bill Day.

Mrs. Sims is survived by her husband of 47 years, James Sims; brother, David (Jean) Pierce; sister, Linda (Larry) Swales; sister-in-law, Ava Day; mother-in-law, Edna Sims; aunt, Martha (Bobby) Wilkerson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
