Brian Douglas Roth passed away on March 26, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on December 18, 1957, in Ayersville, he spent many years in Fort Wayne before moving to Forest, Mississippi, in November 2013.
Brian was a problem solver through and through—there wasn’t a challenge he couldn’t figure out. If something didn’t work right, his go-to phrase was, “Check the configuration—it’s always in the configuration.” And more often than not, he was right. A Senior Electrical Engineer at Raytheon Company for 40 years, he had a natural ability to analyze, build, and fix just about anything.
His curiosity knew no bounds. Conversations with him could range from stock markets to DIY air conditioning repairs, from fish farming to laser-cutting jewelry. If something interested him, he learned it—and mastered it.
Brian was also someone you could always count on. No matter what, if his kids needed help, he was there. A people-pleaser at heart, he would do anything for anyone. Even in his final days, his optimism never wavered—he was always making plans for the future.
Brian is survived by his wife, Erenea Roth, his children: Ericka Clements (Brian), Nicole Pitcher (Jacob), Steven Roth, Michael Roth, and Kim Carbonilla, and his mother, Barbara (Harlan) Roth. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Roth, and his brother, David Roth.
A steady presence, a calm problem solver, and an endlessly curious mind, Brian will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5-7pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, and again on Monday from 10-11am at the Forest Methodist Church with services at 11am. No graveside services will be held.
Ott and Lee of Forest is honored to serve the Roth family.
