Carrie Massey

Mrs. Carrie Massey, age 90, a resident of Morton, MS passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at River Oaks Hospital, Flowood MS. Born on October 10. 1932 to David and Mammie Renfrow Martin. Mrs. Carrie loved life and family, spending time with them gave her great joy; a member of East Morton Baptist Church and was a faithful  until her declining health.

Preceded in death by her parents, David and Mammie Martin; siblings, J.D. Martin, Mackie B. Martin, Mary Ann Cockrell and Effie Arender; husband, Earnest G. Massey. Survived by four children, Charles Gomillion, (Joy), Steve Gomillion, (Jackie), Kenny Ray Massey, Tommy Massey, (Mickey); thirteen grandkids, and a host of great and great-great grandkids.

Visitation will be Sunday August 20, 2023 from 5:00pm to 8;00pm at Ott and lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS. Monday August 21, 2023 from 10:30am to 10:50am at East Morton Baptist Church with a 11:00am Service there in the Church, with Bro. Charles Smith Officiating, interment will follow at Morton Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
