Capitola Everett
July 18, 1935 — February 20, 2016
Funeral services for Mrs. Capitola Everett will be conducted on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 11:30 am from the Ott & Lee Chapel with Dr. Jim Everett officiating. Interment will follow in the Ephesus Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Visitation will be Monday, February 22, 2016 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm and one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Everett, age 80, and a longtime resident of Forest was born in Belzoni, MS, on July 18, 1935 and passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was an “animal lover” particularly watching her fish swim and bird watching. Mrs. Capitola will be remembered as a lady who was strong in her faith, loved her family very much, and enjoyed gardening. She was a member of the Ephesus Baptist Church, and the local VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries respectively.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Sanford Everett and her son: Ricky Tesch. Her parents and eleven siblings precede her in death.
Survivors include: two children: Theresa (Terrell) Berryhill of Raleigh; and Barry Phillips of Gatlinburg, TN; six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and special friend to Mrs. Capitola, Stephen Leach of Gatlinburg, TN.
