Carl L. Roland

Carl Lynwood Roland of Forest, Ms. went to his eternal home in heaven on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Born in Neshoba County on September 10, 1935, to Hubert and Iris (Barrett) Roland, as one of 5 children. Carl spent most of his life enjoying the great outdoors. After his career in the United States Army was over, Carl became a Registered Forester where he retired as a Timber Buyer from Armstrong Timber. After his retirement, he spent much of his time enjoying (and pestering) his beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews all in good fun. He was a longtime fan of the LSU Tiger football, and when he wasn’t hunting or fishing with Bro. Don Wilson, he was cheering on the Tigers (Especially when they were playing against the Ole Miss Rebels).

A longtime member of Harperville Baptist Church, the Forest Ms. Masonic Lodge and a proud U. S. Army Veteran, Carl took pride in knowing where his eternal home would be when the time came. Carl was welcomed at Heaven’s gates by his beloved wife, MaryAnn, his parents, Hubert and Iris (Barrett) Roland, brother Hugh and sister Laurette and a host of friends and family members. He leaves behind his children, Carl Lee Roland (Jimmie Lynn) of Victoria, Texas, Gina (Jamie) of Louin, Ms. Grandchildren; Sarah Davis (Johnathan) of Oxford, Ms., Shelbie Wolfe (Ryan) of Oxford, Ms., Mandy Dupree of Louin, Ms. and Justin Dupree of Louin, Ms.
