Carley Samuel May, 79, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be 5-7pm Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS and starting at 9am on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 with services at 10am Wednesday, in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in Richland Cemetery. Rev. Buster Wilson and Rev. Kevin Jones will officiate.
Sam was a native of Neshoba County. He was a resident of Richland, MS for 57 years. Mr. May was a US Army Veteran and he worked for Entergy for 32 years.
Sam is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy Wilson May of Florence; son, Ken May (Denise) of Florence; daughter, Jill Martin (Rob) of Pearl; brother, Leland May of Richland; grandchildren, Seth May (Anna Claire), Ethan May (Olivia), Lance Martin, Carley Martin; and two great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He was loved by all who knew him.
Pallbearers are Lance Martin, Seth May, Ethan May, Glen May, Carlos Prevost and Zak Prevost.
