Carol June Tucker, 81, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at her home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2015 from 5 until 8 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11 am at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pearl, MS. Burial will be Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in Calvary Cemetery in Rock Island, IL.
Carol June was born in Rock Island, Illinois on October 10, 1933 to the late Raymond Edward and Margaret Freda Schuermann Anderson. She had been a resident of Brandon, MS since 2002 and was a former resident of Conyers, Georgia. In Conyers, she was a member of the cotton bowl quilters guild; the bowling league; and the women’s guild at St. Pius X Catholic Church. She also assembled and completed the Olympic quilt for the 1996 Olympics. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pearl, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Ronald Curtis Tucker. Survivors include her children, John Neil Tucker of Carrollton, TX, Thomas Raymond Tucker of Herndon, VA, Margaret Ann Schlumper of Stock Bridge, GA, Mary Ruth Hudson of Locust Grove, GA, William Earl Tucker of McKinney, TX, and Cynthia Lynn Braatz of Brandon, MS.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
