Carole Carver Milner, 82, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023, at The Blake at Flowood.  Visitation will be 10:00 am until 11:00am on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral services will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00am.  There will be a 1:30pm graveside service at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City, MS.

Carole was born July 14, 1941, in Ruleville, MS to Curtis Hughes Carver and Gladys Caffey Carver.  She was a member of Brandon Church of Christ.  She was a military wife for 28 years.  Carole had a strong love for her family and friends.  Nothing made her happier than preparing a meal for her family.  She loved gardening, shopping, and playing games, especially dominos, with her family and friends. She also loved to travel.

Survivors include her sons, David B. Milner, Jr. and his wife, Deedie, and Daniel J. Milner and his wife, Michele; sister, Betty Love Carver Harris; brothers, Kirk Carver, Barry Carver and his wife, Linda; grandchildren, Tyler Milner, Christine Milner Murphy and her husband, Shaun, and Hunter Milner; great grandchildren, Lilah Murphy, Chase Murphy, and Gabe Murphy.  Also several nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Cheryl Carver.  Carole was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Col. David B. Milner, Sr. (Ret); brother, Sam Carver; brother-in-law, Garnett Harris; and a sister-in-law, Pat Carver.
