Carole Lea King Wixted, 74, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation is Monday, December 5, 2016 from 5 – 8 pm and Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 10 am until the 11 am Service in the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Burial will follow at 3 pm in the Beulah Cemetery in Rosedale, MS.
Carole Lea King was born on August 18, 1942 in Rosedale, MS to the late Charles and Maurine Brown King. Carole was a former resident of Shaw, MS where she was an active member of Shaw Baptist Church. She was a Navy wife for 20 years. In 2004 she and her family moved to Brandon, MS. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. She loved being a “Nana” to her only grandchild.
Survivors include her husband, Francis Eugene Wixted, Jr. of Brandon, MS; her daughter, Catherine Lea Wixted Duease (John) of McKinney, TX; and one granddaughter, Campbell Lea Duease of McKinney, TX.
Memorials may be made to Meadow Grove Baptist Church, Annie Armstrong Easter Offering or the Building Fund, 3221 Louis Wilson Dr., Brandon, MS 39042.
