Mrs. Carolyn May Haralson was born in Forest, Mississippi on Wednesday, October 29, 1941 to her parents: Johnny and Ruth Warren May. She passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Lackey Memorial Hospital at the age of 79.
A graduate of Sebastopol High School and a lifelong resident of Scott County, Mrs. Haralson was a retired retail clerk and a member of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church. She will be remembered for the love that she had for her family, in particular, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. An innate desire for homemaking skills were evidenced by her enjoyment of cooking, sewing and quilting. Favorite past times were also tending to the flowers in her yard, fishing and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her grandson: Daniel Wilcher and two brothers: Kenneth May and Edgar May.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years: Mr. Travis Haralson; three children: Bobby (Lisa) Haralson, Pamela (Tony) Sanford, and Johnny (Vickie) Haralson; six grandchildren: Joseph Haralson, Brittany Runnels, Alexis Guthrie, Joshua Haralson, Samantha Judge, Calee Renfroe; eight great-grandchildren; one sister: Patsy McNeil; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The graveside service will be officiated by Bro. Joey Griffin.
Joseph Haralson, Josh Haralson, Joseph Judge. Greg Bennett, Greg Dukes, Fred Runnels, and Nick Muirhead will serve as pallbearers.
John Ross Judge, Trevor Runnels, Brayden Runnels, Hayden Dennis, and Tristan Burns will serve as honorary pallbearers.
