Mrs. Carolyn Sue Roland Mohon, age 71, a resident of Pinola passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the University Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation was held 5-9pm Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and Sunday from 2-6pm at Ott & Lee Morton. Funeral services were held 11am Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Hodge Hill Cemetery in Morton. Rev. Jerry Wayne Dillon and Bro. Roger Lee officated the services. Arrangements were trusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mrs. Mohon loved to fish and go camping. She worked in childcare at First Baptist Church in Madison and was a caretaker for the elderly. Carolyn loved cooking for her family and they meant the world to her. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William J. Roland and Jennie Dee McCrory Roland; brothers, Daniel and John Austin Roland and her best friend, Pat Perkins.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Tommy Wayne Mohon Sr.; children, Tommy Wayne Mohon Jr. of Pinola and James Edward Mohon of Pinola; sisters, Virginia Frances Garver of Brandon and Thelma D. Williamson (Milton) of Magee; brothers, Tommy George Roland (Wanda) of Pearl and Willie Jimmy Roland (Janie) of Pearl; 6 grandchildren, Christy L. Story, Michael G. Mohon (Devin), Jennifer S. Mohon, Jonah W. Mohon (1), Carl D. Mohon (2) (Amber), John Wayne Mohon-her loving granddog; 6 great grandchildren, Brianna Story, Arabella Story, Garret Smith, Shelby Lynn Mohon, Kaz Ryan Green and unborn , Corban Blaze Mohon.
Pallbearers will be Roy Campbell, John Lorts, Gerald Taylor, David Perkins, Wayne Mohon-son, Jonah Mohon-grandson, Carl Mohon-grandson, Johnny Roland, Michael Mohon and Ray Thornton.
