BURIAL: FLORAL HILLS MEMORY GARDENS
VISITATION: 5-8 PM TUESDAY
Carolyn Roby, 69, passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 at Simpson County General Hospital in Mendenhall. Visitation is 5-8 pm Tuesday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Mrs. Roby was a native of Attala County and a longtime resident of Rankin County. She attended Walker Hill Baptist Church and was a bus driver for 34 years for the Rankin County School District. Mrs. Roby enjoyed arts and crafts, camping, fishing, gardening and especially “shopping”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Roby in 2007; parents, J. S. and Mildred Allen and great granddaughter, McKenzie Tucker.
Survivors include her daughters, Angie Verucchi (Duane) of Brandon and Brenda Clark (Tony) of Grenada; sons, Mike Roby (Hope) of Brandon and John Roby (Sherry) of Brandon; sister, Regina Massey of Richland and brother, Austin Allen of Carthage; grandchildren, Anita Payne, Brandy Sanchez, John Roby II, Kit Downing, Matthew Martin, Angela Sebren and Jerry Tony Clark II and twelve great grandchildren.
