Casey Lee Jones, age 29, a resident of Morton received his angel wings on Sunday, May 31, 2020.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2020 from 1pm-2pm under the Pavilion at Morton Memorial Gardens.  Funeral Service will be held 2pm Wednesday, June 3, 2020 under the Pavilion at Morton Memorial Gardens.  Burial will follow in the cemetery.  Bro. Bob Smith and Bro. Miles Porter will officiate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Casey was born in Hinds County on March 3, 1991.  He had a smile that would light up a room.  If you ever met Casey you knew that he was an encourager and he always wanted to help others.  Casey loved football,  not just one team but many.  He loved the New Orleans Saints, Ole Miss, Morton Panthers and Forest Bearcats.  Casey was made an Honorary Captain of the Morton Panthers Football team when they played Raleigh one year.  Before the game he talked to the team, encouraged the team and told them what they could do.  There was not a dry eye in the dressing room and Morton won that night.  Casey has always loved Morton Police Department and they have shared many a birthday with him and he always knew that they were just a phone call away if he needed anything.  Casey got to know the Morton First Responders and Fire Department on a first name basis also because if they were called they never failed to give help when needed.  He loved people and always met a new friend everywhere he went.  Casey will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Franklin Jones.

He is survived by his loving mother, Bobbie Jean Jones of Morton; special friends, Coach Miles Porter, Coach Don Stokes and Rep. Tom Miles.

Pallbearers will be Coach Don Stokes, Rep. Tom Miles, Bradley Dorsey, Andre Hollis, Dustin Porter, Dallas Bates, McKenzie Patrick, Emilio Warnsley and Mark Bates.  Honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Manning, Wilbur McCoy Jr., Stone Chambers, Bailey Rigaud, Morton Police Department and Morton First Responders.
